Women with migraine are in the risk of heart disease
According to a new study, women with migraine headaches are at increased risk somewhat to heart disease or heart attack. According to Mehr, Doctor "Tobias Kurt", the leader of research team from the Charity University-Germany, says about this: "Migraine, at least in women should be considered as a sign of increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease". In this study, researchers evaluated the examined data from more than 116 thousand American women participated in the study. In beginning of this study, women's ages were between 25 and 42 years and none were suffering from heart disease. Their condition was monitored from 1989 to 2011. At baseline, 15% of women had migraine. Over the 20 year of study period, the researchers found more than 1,300 women suffered a heart attack or stroke and 223 people died because of one condition. According to the researchers, compared with women with no migraine, women with migraine were 50 percent more in the risk of heart attack, stroke or had open-heart surgery.
